Reclaiming Your Wholeness

I’m convinced that true growth lives right at the intersection of where we come from and where we are called to go.

But as men of color, we often carry unwritten cultural rules about what we are allowed to experience. When you feel a pull to try something different, whether that’s stepping onto a surfboard, walking into a dance studio, or moving to a brand new city, it can feel like a massive risk.

Following that curiosity is so much bigger than just trying something new. It is an act of reclaiming your wholeness.

When we let cultural expectations stifle our curiosity, we pay a heavy price. We hide pieces of who we are, suffer in silence, and watch others experience a joy we’ve been told isn't for us.

I know exactly how heavy that feels, because I once lived like this too. But you are meant to live a full, unrestricted life. It all starts when you finally give yourself permission to see where your curiosity wants to take you.
